We’re offering a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Import Clerk to join our busy and friendly team in Colnbrook. This is a great entry-level role for someone eager to learn the ins and outs of international logistics.
What you\’ll be doing:
- Answering phones and liaising with customers
- Arranging airline collections and deliveries
- Planning import routings and overseas collections
- Preparing import-rated airwaybills and simple quotations
- Checking import licences, tariffs, CPC codes, and customs authorisations
- Filing documentation and assisting with occasional invoicing
- Supporting customs entries using ASM/Gems/Sequoia
- Assisting with customs post-entry submissions and reclaims
What we’re looking for:
- A confident communicator with good phone manner
- Organised, reliable and eager to learn
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Strong attention to detail and good judgement
- Any experience with customs entries or import classification is a plus – but not essential. Training will be provided
