A busy, service-led business is looking for an organised Maintenance Planner Scheduler to take ownership of high-volume inbound bookings and day-to-day scheduling. This is a fast-paced, client-facing role where you will be responsible for allocating appointments to a mobile field-based team, managing workloads, handling changes, and making sure client requests are covered - even when diaries are tight.
Responsibilities
- Managing inbound bookings via phone, email and online portals
- Scheduling and allocating work to a field-based team based on location, availability and workload
- Using bespoke bookings software to manage diaries, updates and last-minute changes
- Re-scheduling cancelled or amended appointments quickly and accurately
- Coordinating visits and maintaining clear scheduling records
- Handling customer booking queries and updating contact details
- Supporting report/admin workflow tasks linked to appointments
- Liaising with clients and customers to keep bookings running smoothly
Qualifications / Experience
- Proven experience in bookings coordination, resource scheduling, despatch or planning in a high-volume environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive client relationships
- Organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage changing schedules
- Experience with bespoke scheduling or bookings software and the ability to learn new systems quickly
