The ideal candidate will have experience operating HIAB cranes, delivering to sites, and ideally be familiar with FORS (training can be provided).
Key Responsibilities:
- HIAB Operation: Safely operate a HIAB crane to load/unload materials and ensure precise deliveries.
- Driving Duties: Drive HGV vehicles, adhering to road safety regulations and company policies.
- Yard Duties: Perform general yard tasks, including forklift operation, material handling, and housekeeping.
- Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations on-site and during deliveries.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily checks and report faults promptly.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery notes, logs, and required paperwork.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with yard staff and drivers to ensure smooth operations.
Key Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 (C) HGV license and current HIAB certification (remote controls, hook load, crane ops).
- Proven HIAB and HGV driving experience.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Effective team player with the ability to work independently.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience in the construction or building materials industry.
- Knowledge of London and construction site deliveries.
- Additional qualifications (e.g., CSCS card, CPC, Forklift license) are a plus.
