The predicted salary is between 981 - 1207 £ per month.

We are a privately run family home located in Rugeley. We cater for 29 clients. The needs of our clients and the care and service we provide is paramount.

Shift pattern: Usual shift pattern is 7am-3pm, 2-3 days a week including weekends. Holiday and sickness cover is required.

Qualifications: Basic food and hygiene.

Experience: Cooking and preparing Breakfast, Lunch, and Desserts for 29 elderly people at one sitting. Catering for various diets, e.g. Diabetics, Gluten Free, Vegetarian, Vegan, Cultural, Dysphasia.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and serving meals in accordance with the menus.
  • Catering for any special diets or food needs to the clients.
  • Ensuring that the quality and quantity of the meals produced meet the clients' requirements and expectations.
  • Ensuring that sufficient food is left out of the pantry for meals prepared by care staff.
  • Baking homemade pies and cakes.
  • Ensuring that the storage and production of foods meet all the necessary hygiene standards.
  • To ensure appropriate clothing/hair covering is worn at all times.
  • Food inventory is carried out and storage facility is secure.
  • Washing and storing implements, clients' cutlery, crockery, pots, pans.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and to ensure Environmental Health standards are met.
  • Taking and recording fridge and freezer temperatures.
  • Cleaning of fridges & freezers.
  • Reporting any defects, deficiencies or safety hazards to the manager.
  • To observe safe practices and fire procedures of the home.
  • To complete daily cleaning tasks/Audits.
  • To attend/complete all training relevant to job role.
