We're looking for a Commercial Marketing Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for driving the success of Young’s Pubs and Pubs with Rooms marketing strategy, building robust annual strategies to drive footfall and sales, and work with Operations and the rest of the Sales & Marketing team to deliver marketing excellence.
You'll lead the development of insight-driven annual marketing strategies designed to drive footfall, grow sales and strengthen brand equity across our pubs. Working in close partnership with Operations, you will translate commercial objectives into impactful campaigns and initiatives that drive measurable results. From seasonal activations and key trading moments to local marketing plans and guest acquisition strategies, you will ensure every touchpoint delivers marketing excellence and commercial success.
This role requires a commercially astute, data-driven marketer who thrives in a collaborative environment, understands the dynamics of the hospitality sector and can balance strategic vision with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment. The Commercial Marketing Manager is directly responsible for the Marketing Activation Manager. This role involves regular travel to our pubs as well as Copper House in Wandsworth, and comes with a Company Car.
What you’ll do:
- Be in charge of our Annual & Quarterly Strategy campaign architecture: Design & implement integrated campaigns for key calendar moments (Christmas, Bank Holidays, Summer, Winter) defining an innovative marketing strategy while creating toolkits for local teams to execute.
- Commercial alignment: Work closely with Operations and Finance to align marketing activity with P & L requirements. The successful candidate will translate business objectives into impactful, insight-led marketing plans.
- Lead the execution of campaigns, seasonal activity and key trading initiatives, ensuring alignment with commercial targets, delivering measurable results.
- Work closely with the Head of Sales & Marketing to create and embed the Area Sales & Marketing strategy, ensuring clear alignment with commercial objectives.
- Utilise newly established divisional marketing roles to ensure landing of key campaigns, driving executional excellence and measurable impact.
- Lead the development and delivery of commercially aligned supplier marketing plans, ensuring contractual marketing spend is unlocked and maximised.
- Develop and execute integrated sporting campaigns to enhance a relevant, premium sports proposition across Young’s Pubs, driving increased footfall and commercial performance.
- Act as brand custodian for Young’s Rooms, leading the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns to drive bedroom sales, grow brand awareness, and expand market reach.
- Support key opening launch strategies to ensure pub vision is communicated, driving footfall and long-term success.
- Engage effectively with Commercial, Sales & Marketing and Operations to communicate marketing initiatives, strategies and results.
- Manage cross-functional marketing projects, striving to achieve excellence in customer delivery through adopting the values, ethos and vision of Young's.
Skills Required:
- Demonstrate ability to persuade and influence key stakeholders across the business: Head of Sales & Marketing, Senior Brand Content Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing, Commercial Manager and the wider Sales & Marketing Team.
- Commercial, numerate and analytical, making sure insight is driving our decision making and investment.
- Sociable, with a history of building professional relationships and flexible in working hours.
- Self-motivated and able to prioritise multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
