We are recruiting six experienced Diesel Mechanics for a well-established client based in Northern Ireland. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering competitive hourly rates and excellent potential for long-term employment. You will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repair of a variety of HGVs and commercial vehicles within a busy workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine servicing and mechanical repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Perform strip downs, diagnostics, and full rebuilds where required
- Accurately complete service sheets, job cards, and related documentation
- Communicate technical information clearly to customers when necessary
- Assist with roadside breakdowns as and when required
Criteria for the Role
- Previous experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles in a workshop setting is essential
- A relevant qualification such as an NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent is highly desirable
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Good communication skills and a professional, tidy approach
- Must be fluent in English
Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
- Optional work on Saturdays
- Saturday overtime available (at enhanced rates)
