An innovative process manufacturing business is looking to appoint an HSE Advisor to support the continued development of its health, safety and environmental culture at its Cambridge facility.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HSE professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Role
- Provide day-to-day health, safety and environmental support across the manufacturing site.
- Promote a positive safety culture through coaching, engagement and visible leadership.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits and workplace inspections.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Support compliance with UK health, safety and environmental legislation.
- Deliver HSE training and toolbox talks to employees.
- Monitor KPIs and prepare HSE reports for management.
- Assist with emergency planning, contractor management and environmental initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with managers to continuously improve HSE performance.
About You
- Previous experience in an HSE Advisor, Health & Safety Advisor or similar role within manufacturing, process engineering, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food production, energy or another industrial environment.
- NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum (Diploma desirable but not essential).
- Good understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
- Experience carrying out risk assessments, audits and incident investigations.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the confidence to engage employees at all levels.
- A proactive, practical approach to improving workplace safety.
