Job Purpose:
Expeditor / Assembly
Job Purpose:
This is a dual role, Rotex require someone who can act as a weld/fabrication inspector but also as a general expeditor, producing snag lists and problem solving on site. Assemble major assemblies, sub-assemblies and parts into complete screening machines
Main Duties:
- Site visits to inspect work at fabrication vendors based in mainland Europe.
- Establish robust procedures for \”in process\” inspection to ensure defects are highlighted and rectified at the appropriate time.
- Complete final inspections and sign off of all Rotex products including producing snag lists.
- Work with engineering on design issues, drawings, and improvements
- Ensuring all products are correct to drawing, dimensionally.
- General assembly work duties in machine / parts assembly team
- Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Identify defects in design, fabrications and offer working solutions including modification to existing parts and sheet metal working.
- Compile standard operating procedures and process maps.
- Maintain in-process weld check sheets by ensuring that component check sheets are completed properly and timely filled accordingly.
- Take the lead role in inspection of critical welds on all Rotex products.
- Host customer inspections.
- Document non-conformities with fabricated products
- Working closely with Engineering standardising and improving drawings for Rotex products prior to release into production
- Examine work pieces for defects and measures work pieces for effectiveness.
- Identify defects in design, fabrications and offer working solutions including modification to existing parts or drawings.
- To be aware of, and follow all, company Health & Safety policies and procedures including feeding back any H&S information to management.
- Be aware of and demonstrate the company values and behaviors.
