Fitter Apprenticeship Opportunity

Job Purpose: We are seeking motivated individuals to undertake a comprehensive four-year training programme to become fully qualified Mechanical or Electrical Fitters in our Manufacturing team.

Key Features of the Apprenticeship:

  • Four-year course combining practical training and further education
  • Work alongside experienced engineers in a friendly team environment
  • Day release to training provider for Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering Fitting
  • Regular salary reviews based on individual progress

Main Duties:

  • Assemble complete machines and sub-assemblies to customer specifications
  • Carry out wiring of electrical components and control panels
  • Assist with testing of finished equipment and complete test records
  • Work within planned job times and provide feedback on deviations
  • Contribute to machine and process improvements
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, assisting other sections when required
  • Support mechanical or electrical work within the maintenance team
  • Participate in installation, commissioning, and customer service teams on-site
  • Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures

Candidate Profile:

  • Genuine interest in practical engineering, demonstrated through projects or hobbies
  • Self-motivated with a determination to succeed
  • Curiosity about how things work
  • Passion for learning new skills
  • Ability to contribute effectively to teamwork
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above
