COP is at the forefront of offshore wind development, leading projects from origination and development through construction and operations in new and established markets around the world.

The role: We are seeking a People Data Specialist to join our Compensation, Benefits & People Data team. This is an analytical and operationally critical role supporting compensation and benefit processes across a growing, global organisation. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across People & Communications, Finance, and business leadership, combining compensation and benefits proficiency with strong people data capability. The role focuses on supporting compensation processes with accuracy, while providing clear data insight that enables informed decision-making.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • People data, dashboards & reporting: Own reward-related reporting and contribute to the development and maintenance of clear, user-friendly dashboards and reports (e.g. Excel, Power BI). Conduct analytical work such as outlier analyses, benchmarking comparisons, gender pay analysis, and compensation reviews. Deliver clear, accurate data insights that help stakeholders understand trends, risks, and opportunities. Contribute to the development and improvement of compensation tools, models, and templates (e.g., salary review tools, bonus calculation models). Provide ad-hoc analytical support and respond to data requests, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
  • Compensation processes & core cycles: Support delivery of key annual cycles such as yearly salary review, bonus processes, and compensation data preparation. Contribute to the development and execution of compensation and benefits policies, guidelines, and governance ensuring global consistency with local requirements. Provide compensation input for candidate offers, internal moves, promotions, and role changes, balancing market data and internal equity benchmarking, and business context.
  • Compensation benchmarking & analytics: Conduct market benchmarking using survey data and salary intelligence sources, developing clear recommendations and scenarios. Prepare compensation analysis for decision-making, including pay positioning, internal equity assessments, pay range reviews, and cost impact modelling. Maintain and enhance salary structures and job framework insights working closely with People Partners / HRBPs.
  • Benefits & vendor support: Support benefits-related activities including benefits implementation, renewals, and vendor coordination, across various markets. Partner with internal stakeholders to strengthen benefits insight and continuous improvement.

Your experience:

  • 2–3 years of experience in Rewards, Compensation and Benefits, HR Analytics, People Data, or a closely related analytical HR role.
  • Strong analytical capability and confidence working with large datasets and high accuracy requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, macros, modelling) are required; Power BI and SQL experience is preferred, Python is an advantage.
  • Ability to interpret people’s data, identify trends, and explain insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative mindset, able to support discussions and influence decisions using data and sound judgement.
  • Proactive mindset, able to identify issues, ask the right questions, and suggest improvements rather than waiting for instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks from start to end.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work through ambiguous and evolving requirements.
  • Comfortable working with HR and employment-related data, including policies, compensation structures, and legal terminology.
  • Experience in global or international environments is an advantage.
