Copello are supporting a leading defence technology organisation in the search for a Field Service Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across cutting-edge systems, delivering hands-on technical support to customers both in the UK and internationally. This role is primarily based in Woking, with travel to customer sites and occasional work from additional locations as required.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver on-site and remote support, including maintenance, updates, fault resolution and system optimisation.
  • Support customer activities such as training, testing, demonstrations and operational exercises.
  • Provide 1st/2nd line technical support and participate in an on-call rota.
  • Install, configure and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks and virtual environments.
  • Carry out fault diagnosis, root cause analysis and repair activities on complex systems.
  • Work closely with internal teams, customers and suppliers to ensure effective service delivery.

What you’ll bring

  • Background in electronic warfare or military communications environments.
  • Experience supporting hardware, IT infrastructure and networks in secure or defence settings.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server, virtualisation platforms and network architecture.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Experience working in regulated or high-security environments.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
