The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a growing engineering and project delivery environment, taking ownership of complex projects and supporting the successful delivery of strategically important programmes. This is a varied opportunity suited to an experienced Project Manager who can operate confidently across complex project delivery, bids, tenders and new business activity.
You could come from a traditional project management background, or have developed strong project leadership experience within an engineering, manufacturing, defence or other technically complex environment. You will work closely with engineering, commercial, technical and business stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, on cost and to the required quality, whilst identifying and managing risks, opportunities and dependencies.
The role offers the opportunity to work on challenging projects, engage with senior stakeholders and contribute to both the delivery of existing programmes and the development of future business.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading complex engineering and business projects from definition through to successful delivery
- Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, budgets and resource requirements
- Managing project risks, opportunities, dependencies and change throughout the project lifecycle
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate technical and commercial activity
- Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Providing clear project reporting, identifying issues and driving appropriate actions
- Supporting bids, tenders and new business opportunities, including estimating, planning and developing delivery approaches
- Working with stakeholders to understand customer requirements and translate these into achievable project plans
- Managing competing priorities within a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
- Identifying opportunities to improve project delivery processes
