Copello are recruiting for a Trade Compliance Officer to join a defence organisation in Buckinghamshire on an initial 3 month basis. The Trade Compliance Officer will be working within an existing export function to oversee and handle all documentation regarding export regulatory compliance.
Duties of the Trade Compliance Officer include:
- All products are classified according to regulatory guidelines such as UKML, Dual-Use, USML, EAR
- Monitor regulations for sanctioned countries
- Work within UK authorities such as HMRC, BIS, ECJU regarding licence applications and queries
- Management of internal and external stakeholders with management of MOD F680, UK export teams and other relevant authorisations
- Accountability of all internal procedures and policies regarding import/export compliance, ITAR, EAR and dual use regulations
The successful Trade Compliance Officer will have the following experience:
- Strong experience of interpreting legal documentation
- Knowledge of UK and International export regulations (ITAR/EAR)
- Awareness of changing export/import regulations
- Experience of communicating regulation changes throughout the business
- Experience within the defence/Aerospace sector
- International trade compliance experience
