Copello are partnering with an exciting defence and cyber organisation in Berkshire to find an experienced Systems Lead to take ownership of Systems Engineering across complex, high-value programmes. You’ll be working on advanced secure, cryptographic and key management systems, providing technical leadership across the full engineering lifecycle.

The opportunity:

  • Lead Systems Engineering across programmes and multiple projects
  • Own technical solutions, requirements and engineering delivery
  • Provide technical direction across Systems, Hardware, Firmware & Software
  • Lead design reviews and engage with senior stakeholders and customers
  • Manage technical risk, solution maturity, schedule and delivery
  • Lead, mentor and develop Systems Engineering teams

We’re looking for:

  • Significant Systems Engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of the full lifecycle / ISO 15288
  • Experience leading Systems Engineers across programmes
  • Background in complex defence, aerospace or safety-critical environments
  • Strong technical leadership and stakeholder skills
  • Experience with hardware, software or firmware-based solutions
  • INCOSE and NCSC experience would be advantageous.
