Software Engineer – C++ Location – Portsmouth, on-site.Salary - 50,000 - 70,000 plus package.Please note: Due to the nature of the programme, this role requires eligibility for UK Security Clearance.Are you an experienced C++ Software Engineer looking for the opportunity to work on complex and innovative software solutions within defence. We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team, designing and developing software for advanced systems used across maritime and defence systems. You’ll be involved throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through to development, integration and testing.What you’ll be doing:Developing and maintaining software solutions using C++Designing back-end systems, communication layers and client-server applicationsDeveloping front-end GUIsIntegrating software with external systems and sensorsUnit and simulation-based testingWorking within an Agile/SCRUM environmentWhat we’re looking for:Strong C++ development experienceObject-oriented programming and software design experienceKnowledge of data structures, algorithms and design patternsExperience with debugging and fault findingUnderstanding of networking and data serialisationDatabase and front-end development experienceStrong problem-solving and communication skillsExperience with Qt, QML, DDS, PostgreSQL, STL, XML or sensor integration would be highly beneficial.To apply, please email your CV to aaron@copello.co.uk
