Systems Engineer
Location - Bristol
Salary - Up to £57,000 (plus benefits)
Copello are seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Functional Development team supporting the growing portfolio for a defence organisation based in Bristol on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Chief Systems Engineer, you will contribute across requirements engineering, certification, and programme support, with opportunities to gain experience in multiple areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Derive system, subsystem and software requirements from customer needs.
- Support system design, technical studies and requirements management.
- Contribute to certification activities, including evidence capture, technical investigations and Certificate of Design delivery.
- Support programme delivery, bid activities and stakeholder engagement, including the Poland programme.
- Undertake engineering change management, trade studies and system development activities.
Skills & Experience
- Systems engineering experience, ideally within the defence sector.
- Experience in requirements management and systems engineering tools (e.g. DOORS, DOORS NG, Rhapsody).
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to a range of stakeholders.
- Experience of engineering change management and complex systems development.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Product line experience is advantageous.
