Copello Global is recruiting for a Systems Engineer to join a defence company in Buckinghamshire on an initial 18 month basis. As the Systems Engineer you will be providing full lifecycle system engineering activities (V-Model) on a large electronic warfare project. Duties of the Systems Engineer role include Key Responsibilities: * Resolving complex problems, ensuring the solution meets end clients needs * Support the full systems development lifecycle from bids through to production, following the systems V Model (Requirements Management through to Validation & Verification) * Perform analysis to ensure all interfaces will integrate together and required system performance is met * Progressively verify the radar, communication and command and control functions within the system The successful Systems Engineer will require the following skills and experience: * Background in electronics/engineering/technology * Working knowledge within interface definitions, electrical signals and high protocols * An understanding of network principles such as IP/TCP/UDP etc. * Comprehensive understanding of RF * Test case definition and test procedures, and progressive sign off of requirements * Experience with MS Office toolsets; experience with MS Project would be advantageous. * Experience of systems engineering toolsets (DOORS/Polarion), as well as modelling & simulation (SYSML, Matlab, Simulink). * Extensive experience of system ITEA activities for Aerospace Applications. * Familiarity of defence regs and standards such as DO-160, ARP4754, Mil-STD-704. * System architectural design and requirements analysis including decomposition to hardware / software would be advantageous. * Knowledge of configuration management, interface control design, reliability engineering, safety, security desirable. Due to the nature of the work the successful candidate will require current SC or eligible for SC. The System Engineer position will be working on a hybrid working pattern (2/3 days a week on site) and will be based from Copello’s client in Buckinghamshire.
