The Role
As a Senior Systems Coordinator, you’ll sit at the intersection of consultancy and software development. You’ll work closely with the Facilities Management (FM) team and the wider business to understand their needs, then design and build technical solutions on top of our standard software configuration. This is a hands-on role that combines customer engagement, technical design, and development. You’ll lead the creation of bespoke solutions and integrations, helping to ensure our FM systems truly support the business and its users.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work directly with customers, leading workshops to gather and understand business requirements
- Translate client needs into clear, detailed technical specifications and delivery estimates
- Design, develop, and deliver custom solutions using Planon’s API framework
- Lead development activity, including hands-on coding and system integration
- Provide technical support to the FM systems team, including testing and debugging Java code
- Produce and maintain high-quality documentation, such as technical specifications and user guides
- Build and manage a repository of standardised custom solutions and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with teams across the business to ensure a customer-focused approach in everything you deliver
What We’re Looking For

Essential skills and experience:
- Proven experience translating client requirements into technical specifications
- Strong development experience, with JavaScript required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A proactive, innovative mindset and strong team-working skills
Desirable:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Experience as a Java Developer
- Planon System Administration experience and/or experience with CAFM tools
- Exposure to technologies such as:
- JQuery, AngularJS
- MS-SQL, Oracle
- Maven, SVN
- HTML, CSS
- Apache Wicket
