HR Advisor / HR Adviser in Southampton

I am currently looking for a HR Advisor for a company near Southampton on a contract basis. * ASAP Start * 3 month contract * Rate is negotiable depending on experience (Inside IR35) We’re looking for an organised and proactive HR Advisor to support our busy people team. In this role, you’ll provide both advisory and administrative support across a wide range of HR activities - from maintaining accurate data and producing reports, to offering first-line guidance to managers and employees. You’ll thrive in a role where no two days are the same, using your strong IT skills (particularly Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint) to support people systems, processes, and project work. Maintain accurate records within HR information/pay systems and produce clear, insightful reports and data analysis. * Provide first‑line advice to managers and employees on people policies and procedures. * Support core people processes (e.g. absence management, exit interviews), ensuring data is well-presented and records are up to date. * Provide administrative support on projects, including scheduling meetings, taking notes, and tracking actions. * Complete ad‑hoc administrative tasks such as raising purchase orders and preparing documentation for employee relations cases using templates. Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and high-quality output. * Proficient to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, SharePoint and Outlook. * CIPD Level 3 preferred but not essential
