What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing cutting edge products that meet customer and legislative requirements while maintaining high internal standards. You'll be at the forefront of development projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget goals are met. You’ll also mentor junior engineers, lead cross functional collaboration, and provide strategic technical input across the full product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design of innovative products from concept through to manufacture.
- Ensure all designs meet regulatory, customer, and company standards.
- Take ownership of projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to other engineers across design, development, verification, and manufacturing.
- Offer technical support across departments and contribute to new business activities.
- Act as Design Project Leader when assigned, managing technical direction and motivating your team to achieve key project milestones.
What You Bring to the Team
Education & Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical or Systems Engineering (or a closely related field).
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it (preferred).
- Proficient in electrical CAD tools, MRP systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of design best practices, verification methods, and applicable industry standards.
- Proven track record of leading projects and delivering results.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
