The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
Onsite 5 days per week in Sedgefield. This is a hands-on test development role, you will work closely with the wider engineering and production teams to support test software and hardware development for a range of products from conception through to volume production.
The Role
- Develop and maintain a clear understanding of all test equipment and processes.
- Full responsibility for the development/improvement of new/existing solutions to support manufacturing and engineering teams with all aspects of DC to mmWave test.
- Provide high-level technical support to improve and maintain test capability and analyse, diagnose, and resolve technical issues as required.
- Deliver fully verified and documented solutions in line with defined technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Plan, organise, and manage own time to meet project requirements, and report project progress and risks to project teams and team leaders.
- Interface effectively with vendors and internal and external customers to fulfil project requirements.
- Contribute to bids during quotation phase including technical correspondence with customers.
- Perform data analysis and produce both internal and customer-facing reports and presentations.
- Involvement with the complete solution lifecycle, including requirements review, system design, specifications, instrumentation selection, solution development, implementation, data recording and reporting, testing, training, support, instructions, and change management.
Skills, attributes and experience
- Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent plus sufficient level of experience.
- Hands-on experience within a volume electronics manufacturing environment.
- Strong hands-on measurement and diagnostic skills using electronic and RF test equipment.
- Ideally LabVIEW or TestStand development experience.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
