We're looking for a Hardware Engineer to join a dynamic team delivering innovative technology solutions for Defence customers. This role involves designing, deploying, and supporting hardware and infrastructure that underpin mission-critical systems and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain physical and virtual infrastructure environments.
  • Support hardware development, deployment, testing, and demonstrations.
  • Design and implement LAN, WAN, and VLAN networks.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server and Linux environments.
  • Manage virtualisation platforms such as VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V.
  • Configure and maintain firewall platforms and security controls.
  • Manage hardware lifecycle activities, upgrades, and capacity planning.
  • Maintain hardware inventory, asset tracking, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and engage with customers and stakeholders.

About You

  • Proven experience delivering and supporting hardware and infrastructure solutions in Defence, government, or commercial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, hardware, virtualisation, and Windows/Linux administration.
  • Experience supporting systems in live operational environments.
  • Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and security best practices.
  • Comfortable communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and source control tools is desirable.
