Working Pattern: Hybrid, typically 4–5 days on-site in Bolton

We’re looking for a skilled Manufacturing Test Engineer on behalf of our client; who are a leader in the defence sector, to support the testing, diagnosis and validation of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies across their lifecycle. You’ll help develop test processes, introduce new test equipment, and ensure products meet time, cost and quality targets. You’ll join a collaborative team working on a range of development and production projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Support test activities from early design through to production readiness
* Introduce and maintain test facilities, including documentation and configuration control
* Perform testing and component-level fault diagnosis
* Collaborate with Operations and Design teams to resolve technical issues
* Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain test engineering standards
What You’ll Need
* HNC or higher in an engineering/electronics discipline (HND or degree preferred)
* Experience with analogue/digital electronic testing and manufacture
* Knowledge of electronic measurement, diagnostics and test equipment

* Familiarity with ERP/MES tools (e.g., SAP)
* Strong problem-solving, organisation and communication skills
