We're looking for a Radar Systems Engineer for a hands‑on, technically challenging role where you'll work at the intersection of signal processing, mathematical modelling, and real‑world system performance. You’ll play a key role in designing and improving radar systems, working closely with internal engineering teams and external partners to deliver cutting‑edge solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop mathematical models of radar systems and sub‑systems using MATLAB and Simulink
- Design and implement digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms to enhance radar performance
- Analyse radar performance data, including trial results, and produce technical reports
- Support hardware and software validation, working closely with FPGA and development teams
- Provide technical input and specifications for system design and development
- Investigate and resolve real‑world performance issues in deployed systems
- Research and develop new algorithms and radar concepts
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure system performance requirements are met
- Prepare and present technical material to internal stakeholders and external customers
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Degree (BSc/MSc) in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related discipline
- Experience with MATLAB and digital signal processing
- Knowledge of radar or related domains (e.g. sonar, communications, image processing)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to deliver technical work to deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self‑motivated with a collaborative mindset
Desirable Skills
- Experience with radar techniques such as Pulse Compression, Doppler Filtering, CFAR
- Knowledge of radar signal/image processing, tracking, or phased array systems
- Exposure to FPGA, embedded systems, or Linux environments

- Experience with Python, C/C++, or other programming languages
