Salary – Up to £53k

Copello are working with a leading Defence organisation to recruit an Occupational Hygiene Technician to support large-scale engineering and manufacturing programmes within a complex, safety-critical environment. This role will focus on identifying, monitoring and helping to control workplace health hazards, ensuring employees are protected from exposure to risks such as noise, dust, fumes, chemicals and vibration. You'll work closely with operational teams, providing practical advice and supporting compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out workplace exposure monitoring across a variety of operational environments
  • Support occupational health risk assessments and exposure control activities
  • Collect, analyse and report monitoring data to support informed decision-making
  • Provide practical recommendations to reduce workplace health risks
  • Work closely with engineering, production and SHE teams to promote best practice
  • Assist with the implementation of occupational hygiene programmes and initiatives

Experience Required

  • Previous experience conducting occupational hygiene monitoring within industrial, manufacturing or other high-hazard environments
  • Knowledge of workplace hazards including noise, vibration, dust, fumes and chemical exposure
  • Relevant Occupational Hygiene qualification (BOHS modules, CertOH, DipOH or equivalent), or currently working towards accreditation
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent health and safety qualification would be advantageous
