Travel 5 days onsite in Stevenage. Some trials activities may involve travel abroad.

We are looking for a hands-on Functional Integration Lead Engineer to support the integration and proving of advanced weapon systems on a fast-paced programme. This is a delivery-focused project where you will take ownership of defining and executing integration and compatibility testing from the ground up, working closely with hardware, software and systems teams. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering in the lab, solving complex problems, and working in a dynamic environment where priorities can evolve quickly.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading functional integration and compatibility testing activities
  • Defining test strategies and integration methods from scratch
  • Working hands-on in the lab with hardware and test equipment
  • Running end-to-end system testing and analysing system behaviour
  • Diagnosing integration issues and working with design teams to resolve them
  • Presenting technical findings to stakeholders and programme teams

This is a technical lead role rather than a people management position.
