Multiple requirements (8) for FPGA Engineers to join a global consultancy supporting a major defence company. Ideally they are looking for these individuals to join the team in their Edinburgh office, but they are also able to support individuals workins from either Basildon, Southampton, Bristol, Newcastle or Luton. Applicants will ideally have active security clearance, and due to the nature of the project, is only available to sole British nationals or Dual British with 5+ years in the UK> The roles are based purely onsite, but offered on a compressed 4 day week. These roles have been determined as Inside IR35. Role Overview: The successful Senior & Principal FPGA engineers would be responsible for design and development of FPGAdesigns usingVHDLand verifying designs usingVHDLor System Verilog. Job Responsibilities: Working closely with Systems, Hardware and Software teams to provide FPGAsolutions and solve integration problems on complex systems. Creating innovative and robustVHDL-based designs Documenting and recording deliverables VerifyingFPGAdesigns Ensuring configuration management/keeping designs under revision control Providing progress reports Skills, Qualifications and Experience required: Experience of developing FPGAusingVHDLor Verilog Experienced with Mentor GraphicsFPGAdevelopment tools including HDL Designer, ModelSim / Questa and Precision Familiar with Xilinx / Intel (Altera) / Microsemi (Actel) design flows (ISE, Vivado, Quartus) and third-party synthesis tools Experience in specifying timing and area constraints for efficientFPGAPlace and Route.
