Product Test Development Engineer in Fife

Senior Product Test Development Engineer Glenrothes or Livingston (4 days p/week on site) - 12 Month contract (Inside IR35) – BPSS Required Copello are working with a leading defence and aerospace company operating across the United Kingdom. You’ll be working for a major supplier to the UK government and customers around the globe, providing defence solutions across all domains: land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace. Primary Purpose of this position Responsible for the design, manufacture, verification and validation, along with through life technical support of board level, sub-system and system level test equipment. Main duties: Design of functional test equipment To take responsibility for the design and overall quality of the test equipment and provide leadership and guidance for junior engineers. Documentation of design specifications and implementation details. Take part in design reviews. Upholding of design standards and methodologies. Realisation of complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable test hardware solutions. Responsibility for the complete implementation of detailed technical items and an understanding/appreciation of system level items. Collaboration with other team members (including both hardware and software engineers) to agree system designs, interfaces and protocols etc. Development of appropriate test hardware, test software and procedures, both informal and formal, to prove the correct operation of hardware.
