Overview

In this role you will deploy, transition, and maintain critical IT infrastructure for a vital operational environment. You will help implement modern, secure, scalable infrastructure and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project milestones and ongoing operations. You will shape secure-by-design practices and drive continuous improvement in high-stakes systems. This is an opportunity to work with a broad tech stack and contribute to resilient, mission-critical services.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, transition and maintain critical IT applications and infrastructure for a high-stakes operational environment
  • Implement modern infrastructure solutions using a broad tech stack
  • Collaborate with diverse teams and communicate across technical and organizational boundaries
  • Ensure delivery of robust, secure, and efficient infrastructure services aligned with project milestones
  • Help shape best practices in a secure-by-design environment
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and operation excellence in critical services

Key requirements

  • Extensive experience with VMware virtualization technologies (ESXi, vSphere, NSX, VCLM)
  • Strong Windows Server deployment, configuration, and management (AD, DNS, WSUS, GPOs, PKI)
  • Proficient with Linux (RHEL) server management
  • Hands-on experience with Dell hardware (PowerEdge), PowerVault storage, QNAP NAS, data diodes
  • Networking expertise (switches, VLANs, best practices)
  • Familiarity with IaC tools Terraform and Ansible
  • Automation, DevSecOps practices, and scripting (PowerShell)
  • Backup/replication knowledge (Veeam) and security tooling (Trellix)
  • Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and hyperscale cloud environments (AWS)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
