We're looking for an experienced International Trade Compliance Officer to join a leading defence and aerospace organisation. In this role, you'll ensure compliance with UK and international export control regulations while providing practical guidance that supports business growth and operational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage UK export licence applications (OGELs, OIELs, SIELs)
- Liaise with HMRC, DBT and ECJU on licensing and compliance matters
- Monitor changes to UK and international trade regulations, sanctions and embargoes
- Support the development of trade compliance policies, procedures and training
- Coordinate US export authorisations, including ITAR, EAR, TAAs and MLAs
- Provide trade compliance guidance to internal stakeholders
- Support audits, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage travel authorisations and Technical Authorisation Transfer Forms
About You
- Experience in UK export controls and international trade compliance
- Knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations
- Previous experience within defence, aerospace or another regulated industry
- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
