Copello Global is seeking numerous Senior Substation Secondary (P&C) Design Engineers with a strong understanding of electrical engineering, power systems, and energy markets to join an organisation on an initial 12-month contract.
As the Senior Substation Secondary (P&C) Design Engineer, responsibilities include:
- Building strong, trusted relationships with clients and project stakeholders
- Working collaboratively both on client sites and within office environments
- Understanding client requirements and converting opportunities into successful workstreams
- Providing technical leadership on FEED and Detailed Design projects for:
- Ensuring quality assurance and technical governance across all P&C design deliverables, including
- Supporting team resourcing, capability development, and technical training
- Reviewing P&C project deliverables, including:
- Protection schemes
- Settings and coordination studies
- Substation automation architectures
- I/O lists and interface drawings
- Control room layouts
- Marshalling cabinets
- Protection panels
- Design Review meetings
- Hazard Review meetings
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Protection & Control (P&C) Design
- Experience working on transmission or distribution projects, preferably up to 400kV (not essential)
- A minimum 2:2 BEng degree in either Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or similar disciplines
This role is inside IR35 paying circa £60 per hour. Position can be based in either Glasgow, Leeds, Epsom or Birmingham.
