I'm recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of a specialist defence technology client that’s tackling complex, real‑world challenges where quality, pace and precision really matter. This is a hands‑on role for a Continuous Improvement professional who enjoys getting close to operations, driving meaningful change, and embedding Lean thinking across engineering and production environments.

What you'll be doing as Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Leading Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives that improve flow, quality, cost and delivery
  • Solving complex operational problems using tools such as DMAIC, 8D, RCA and PSP
  • Coaching teams in Lean Six Sigma methods and building a strong CI culture
  • Supporting electronics and hardware assembly and test processes
  • Driving root cause analysis and resolution of non‑conformances
  • Working closely with operations, engineering and supply chain teams to deliver sustainable improvements

  • Degree‑qualified engineer or equivalent experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
  • Strong background in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
  • Experience in electro‑mechanical or electronics and mechanical assembly as well as test environments

  • Practical knowledge of MRP systems (IFS beneficial, not essential)
