Senior Penetration Testing Consultant - 2 days onsite per month
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Red Team Analyst to join a leading defence and security organisation's Cyber Operations team.
You will help strengthen cyber resilience by identifying vulnerabilities, testing security controls and assessing the effectiveness of SOC detection capabilities. Working alongside Red Team, Threat Intelligence and Incident Response specialists, you'll help protect critical systems against evolving cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Red Team exercises, penetration testing and security control assessments.
- Conduct infrastructure and web application security testing.
- Identify vulnerabilities, assess risks and recommend remediation.
- Test SOC detection and security monitoring capabilities.
- Produce technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Keep up to date with emerging threats and attacker techniques.
- Experience in infrastructure and web application penetration testing.
- Practical knowledge of offensive security tools, including Kali Linux or Parrot OS.
- Understanding of networking, Active Directory, Windows Server, Linux, firewalls, IDS/IPS and cloud security.
- Strong technical reporting, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to assess vulnerabilities and explain their potential business impact.
