As a Principal ILS & Obsolescence Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of ILS and Obsolescence capability across complex UK Defence programmes, with a particular focus on maritime systems. You will act as a technical authority within the ILS discipline, providing leadership, guidance and assurance across the full product lifecycle, while supporting the development of people, processes and stakeholder confidence in ILS delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise in ILS and Obsolescence engineering
- Drive and govern ILS processes across programmes and throughout the product lifecycle
- Represent ILS at programme and stakeholder reviews, ensuring requirements are met and understood
- Develop and maintain strong customer and supplier relationships
- Provide technical oversight and assurance of supplier ILS deliverables
- Support and coach engineers within the ILS team, promoting best practice and capability growth
What Weβre Looking For
- Extensive experience delivering ILS and Obsolescence engineering within complex engineering programmes
- Degree-qualified in an engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
