Copello are working with a leading Defence business who are looking for an experienced Aircraft Mechanical Operator to support frontline military fast jets. You’ll play a key role in keeping high-performance combat aircraft mission-ready, working in a fast-paced and safety-critical environment alongside military teams.
What you’ll do:
- Carry out maintenance from strip-down through to installation on aircraft mechanical systems
- Inspect, repair, and replace components in line with approved technical documentation
- Follow planned and unplanned maintenance schedules confidently and safely
- Act as a first signatory, taking responsibility for your work
- Read engineering drawings and complete all required paperwork to standard
Required skills:
- Relevant aviation or military engineering apprenticeship (e.g. City & Guilds 2675/2661)
- Recent experience working on Fast Jet aircraft (Desirable)
- Strong understanding of Part 145 / MAOS maintenance standards
- Familiarity with depth maintenance documentation
