The Opportunity
Copello is partnering with a leader in the Defence sector to recruit a Group Category Manager for a rapidly growing organisation. With international travel once per quarter, this is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to fast track their career.
Due to growth within our clients Digital Procurement team, they are seeking a Group Category Manager to help shape and deliver our digital procurement strategy. If you have experience in technology procurement or are eager to develop your expertise in this area, we would be delighted to hear from you.
We are particularly interested in candidates who are either:
- Experienced Technology Procurement Practitioners with category management expertise in areas such as:
- Software (Business Software, Software Services, Integration, Projects, or Engineering & Manufacturing Software)
- Networks and Telecoms
- Cybersecurity
- Artificial Intelligence and High-Performance Computing
- IT Services (Back Office, Front Office)
- Data Centres and Storage
Key Responsibilities
- Build deep market insight, develop category strategies, and identify risks and opportunities.
- Design and deliver short, medium, and long term procurement plans.
- Mentor and support Buyers in executing complex procurement projects.
- Collaborate at Group level as a trusted business partner to achieve shared objectives.
Experience working within a large or complex organisational environment is desirable.
