Copello is working with a leading engineering and manufacturing organisation to recruit a Production Planner for their operations team in County Durham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Planner to play a key role in coordinating manufacturing activity and ensuring production plans support customer requirements and business priorities.
Working closely with teams across Production, Engineering and Supply Chain, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining realistic production schedules, balancing demand, material availability and manufacturing capacity. You will monitor progress, identify potential risks to delivery and help ensure an efficient flow of work through production.
What we're looking for:
- Experience in production planning, manufacturing planning, scheduling, materials control or supply chain planning within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Developing and maintaining production plans and schedules.
- Working with ERP/MRP systems and production planning data.
- Capacity planning, material availability and work-in-progress management.
- Coordinating with multiple teams to manage priorities and delivery requirements.
- Identifying risks and resolving issues that could impact production schedules.
Strong Excel skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment will also be beneficial. Experience within electronics, aerospace, defence, high-reliability manufacturing or another complex engineering environment would be advantageous, although candidates from a wider manufacturing background are encouraged to apply.
