Copello are recruiting Intermediate and Senior Product Safety Engineers on behalf of a leading Defence Prime, supporting both current and next-generation programmes. This is a hybrid role based in Coventry (2 days onsite per fortnight), offering the chance to work on major naval defence programmes involving highly complex, safety-critical systems.
You’ll play a key role in the governance of safety analysis and safety case activities, supporting approvals, identifying risk, challenging where needed, and helping embed safety processes across the wider business. It’s an exciting time to join the Safety & Environmental team, following a recent government contract win that places the organisation in a strong position to innovate within the Defence and Marine sectors. Qualifications:
- Experience in high-hazard industries (Defence, Oil & Gas, Rail, Aerospace etc.)
- Product Safety Engineering background
- Knowledge of safety techniques (HAZOP, FTA, ALARP, FHA, FSA, etc.)
- Familiarity with Defence Standards (00-56, 00-55, DSA-01, DSA-02)
