Key Responsibilities:
- Develop electronic designs, including schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials.
- Ensure designs meet project objectives, schedules, and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance design processes and implement lessons learned.
- Interpret technical requirements, create detailed documentation, and manage the product lifecycle.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to finalize technical specifications and provide support.
- Ensure designs comply with regulatory standards, including CE & UKCA regulations.
- Promote cost-effective materials and manufacturing methods.
- Occasionally travel for project requirements.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years\’ experience in electronic design, ideally in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Altium), microcontrollers, and communication protocols (RS422, RS232, Ethernet, LVDS).
- Solid knowledge of product safety, compliance, and lifecycle management.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with experience in risk mitigation, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
- Electronics Engineering degree and working towards CEng.
