We are looking for a skilled Avionics Supervisor to take a hands-on leadership role supporting Typhoon maintenance operations within a high-performance aerospace environment. You will lead day-to-day maintenance, inspection, and technical oversight tasks, ensuring all activities meet strict airworthiness and safety standards.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Leading and supervising avionics maintenance and inspection activities on Typhoon aircraft and components.
- Diagnosing and resolving complex faults, carrying out configuration checks, and ensuring compliance with all approved documentation.
- Overseeing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in line with MAOS MIL Pt145 and company standards.
- Managing and mentoring a mixed team of technicians, promoting high-quality workmanship, continuous improvement, and professional development.
- Ensuring all maintenance activity is accurately recorded and reported, escalating technical issues when required.
- Maintaining full compliance with Health & Safety, Quality Management, and Environmental policies.
- Supporting both day and night shift operations, with associated allowances.
- Conducting independent inspections and issuing Job Inspection Certificates (JICs) where authorised.
What You Will Bring:
- Completed aerospace or avionics apprenticeship (e.g. City & Guilds 2675 / 2661 or equivalent military qualification).
- Proven supervisory experience within a fast jet maintenance environment.
- Solid understanding of Depth Maintenance documentation and procedures.
- Knowledge of airworthiness standards, quality processes, and technical publications.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and uphold high technical standards.
- Active or eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC).
