Responsibilities
- Execute technical deployments connecting client building systems (BMS, HVAC, EMS, refrigeration) to the Bueno cloud platform across multiple projects.
- Perform BACnet discovery, Modbus configuration, and object verification against site schematics to ensure data quality and accuracy.
- Work with client IT/OT teams and vendors to establish secure connectivity and troubleshoot data flow issues.
- Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of physical and virtual edge devices.
- Prepare and deliver site deployments in line with project timelines and client requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to provide technical guidance on software deployment, analytics services, and data capture.
- Maintain deployment documentation and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Identify deployment risks, technical issues, and opportunities to improve engineering standards and operational efficiency.
Required skills and qualifications
- 2+ years of practical experience in HVAC, Building Management Systems (BMS), Building Automation, or related technical environments.
- Strong understanding of HVAC and/or refrigeration systems.
- Solid practical knowledge of BACnet and Modbus protocols.
- Good understanding of core IT networking principles including IP addressing, subnets, and basic routing.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Must have full rights to work in the UK.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Experience with BMS platforms commonly used across the UK and Europe.
- Knowledge of modern IoT and web protocols such as MQTT and API integrations.
- Familiarity with Linux environments, particularly Ubuntu.
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Experience working with cloud‑based ETL or data ingestion workflows.
