Copart are currently looking for a confident and hands-on Yard Manager to lead our busy Sandy Yard operation, SG19 2UB. Reporting to the General Manager/Assistant General Manager, you’ll be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining high Health & Safety standards and ensuring operational targets and SLAs are consistently achieved.
What you’ll do:
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing yard team, including recruitment, onboarding and performance management.
- Own day-to-day yard operations, ensuring safety, compliance, service levels and customer expectations are met.
- Monitor performance, manage costs and take action to improve operational and financial results.
- Drive continuous improvement, challenge existing ways of working and embed positive change.
- Build strong relationships across the wider business to support overall facility performance.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven people leadership experience in a fast-paced automotive, warehouse or inventory environment.
- Strong communication, customer service and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, can-do approach with the ability to multitask and make decisions under pressure.
- Experience working to strict Health & Safety standards.
- Automotive industry experience preferred.
- Forklift/loader experience and IOSH qualification desirable.
- Flexibility to work overtime when required.
