We are currently recruiting for a Roamer/Tramper HGV Driver to join our team, working from our Operation Centre in Sandy, SG19 2UB. Copart is the global leader in online vehicle remarketing and recycling, working in partnership with many of the world’s leading insurance companies, banks, automotive dealers, fleet, and rental car companies. Your home location will be Sandy, but you will be required to travel to other operation centres to assist them with holiday cover and increased workload. You will complete 3 to 4 overnights per week, for which you will receive an additional overnight allowance payment.

A Copart Roamer/Tramper HGV Driver collects and delivers predominantly accident damaged vehicles of all shapes, sizes, and conditions on our salvage transporters and therefore the role can be physically demanding. We work on behalf of our insurance and automotive customers, to service agreements. Our Drivers carry out internal and external checks on their trucks and equipment and report any defects, photograph any damage, and carry out inspections of all collected and delivered vehicles. Copart Drivers must comply with legal and company requirements of a professional driver and operate the vehicle and loading equipment in a safe and efficient manner, following all H&S policies and procedures.

A reasonable salary expectation based on an average of 7 vehicle collections per day would be approx. £52,516 pa; which includes a Roamer allowance of £3,000 per year. In addition, £45 is payable per night (£30 of which is tax free) for each overnight stay.
