We are recruiting an HGV Driver to join our supportive network of professional drivers, covering our Whitburn Operation Centre and the surrounding area.
You’ll be working from Monday to Friday with no bank holiday working, however you will be required to work overnight in some cases, and in return you will receive a Highland bonus per day and an overnight allowance.
A Copart Driver loads, collects and delivers predominantly accident damaged vehicles of all shapes, sizes and conditions on our salvage transporters and therefore the role can be physically demanding. We work on behalf of our insurance and automotive customers, to service agreements.
They carry out internal and external checks on their trucks and equipment and report any defects, photograph any damage and carry out inspections of all collected and delivered vehicles.
Copart Drivers must comply with legal and company requirements of a professional driver and operate the vehicle and loading equipment in a safe and efficient manner, following all H&S policies and procedures.
No transporter experience? No problem – we’ll provide you with everything you need! You’ll be supported through 3 weeks of the very best job related 1-2-1 training and benefit from our bespoke designed annual CPC training. If you have a Cat C licence, we are able to up-skill to C+E after successful completion of your probationary period.
After training a reasonable salary expectation would be approx. £51,000 OTE per annum. (Inclusive of additional allowances)

- Driving experience in both rural and urban environments
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal

- Confident in the use of handheld devices, with experience in the use of basic IT applications
- Adaptable, with the ability to organise and adjust your working day
- Car transportation or recovery experience would be an advantage, but isn’t essential
