Copart have a new Operation Centre in Gloucester and are recruiting HGV Drivers to join our team! After an initial training period at our Operation Centre in Bristol, our HGV Drivers will be based from Gloucester. You will be working from Monday to Friday, with no nights out or bank holiday working, so you will benefit from a great work-life balance and have more time to yourself.
A Copart Driver loads, collects and delivers predominantly accident damaged vehicles of all shapes, sizes and conditions on our salvage transporters and therefore the role can be physically demanding. They carry out internal and external checks on their trucks and equipment and report any defects, photograph any damage and carry out inspections of all collected and delivered vehicles. Copart Drivers must comply with legal and company requirements of a professional driver and operate the vehicle and loading equipment in a safe and efficient manner, following all H&S policies and procedures.
No transporter experience? No problem - we will provide you with everything you need! You will be supported through 3 weeks of the very best job related 1-2-1 training and benefit from our bespoke designed annual CPC training. If you have a Cat C licence, we are able to up-skill to C+E after successful completion of your probationary period.
What we need from you:
- HGV Licence Class 1 or Class 2
- Current CPC
- A good understanding of the EC Drivers Hours and Working Time regulations using a Tachograph
- Driving experience in both rural and urban environments
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident in the use of handheld devices, with experience in the use of basic IT applications
- Adaptable, with the ability to organise and adjust your working day
- Car transportation or recovery experience
