We are currently recruiting for a Roamer/Tramper HGV Driver to join our team at the Operation Centre in Gloucester, GL22SF. Your home location will be Gloucester, but you will travel to other operation centres for holiday cover and increased workload.
As a Copart driver, you will collect and deliver predominantly accident damaged vehicles of all shapes, sizes and conditions on our salvage transporters, and the role can be physically demanding. You will complete 3-4 overnights per week, for which you will receive an additional overnight allowance.
Responsible for internal and external checks, reporting defects, photographing damage and inspecting all collected and delivered vehicles while operating vehicle and loading equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with legal, company and H&S policies and procedures.
What we need from you:
- HGV/LGV Licence, Class1 (Current CPC)
- Good understanding of EC Drivers Hours and Working Time regulations and tachograph use
- Driving experience in rural and urban environments
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Excellent customer service skills
- Flexibility and strong attention to detail
- Confidence in handheld devices and basic IT applications
- Adaptability and ability to organise and adjust working day
- Car transportation or recovery experience (advantageous but not essential)
