We’re looking for a skilled and motivated CCTV Installation Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. Based from our St Helens Operations Centre , you’ll travel to sites across the North of England (and occasionally further afield) to install, commission, and maintain high-quality CCTV, access control, and other electronic security systems. Working closely with our UK and US Technology Teams and external CCTV partners, you’ll ensure our security infrastructure operates reliably, safely, and efficiently. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on work, variety, and being part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Install, commission, and maintain CCTV systems , access control , and related security equipment Design and implement CCTV layouts and configurations to meet operational requirements Configure and support Windows Server environments (including Server 2022) and virtualization platforms such as VMware Install and maintain wired and wireless networks , including Point-to-Point (PtP) systems and structured cabling (Cat 5/6) Conduct site visits and installations across multiple UK locations ( company van provided ) Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, explaining technical issues in clear, practical terms Provide occasional out-of-hours support to ensure system uptime and site security What we need from you: Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience in CCTV installation, commissioning, and maintenance Ability to design and implement cost-effective, secure CCTV systems Hands-on experience with PtP wireless systems and structured cabling (Cat 5/6) Knowledge of Windows Server 2022 , VMware , and related technologies Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex technical faults Good understanding of health and safety standards and safe working practices Flexible, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team Desirable Experience with Milestone CCTV systems Certifications for working safely at height ( IPAF, PASMA ) Familiarity with network switches and wireless access points Knowledge of leading CCTV brands such as Dahua and Hikvision Experience liaising with CCTV monitoring centres and handling security incidents What we offer you in return: Overnight stay allowance Time For You: Relax with 23 days of holiday plus bank holidays, and an extra day for a personal special occasion.
