The Green Parts Specialists are the UK's leading vehicle dismantling company, supplying high-quality recycled vehicle parts to trade and retail customers. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Tyre Fitter to join our Skelmersdale workshop team in WN8 9SU. This is a hands-on role involving the removal, inspection, fitting, assessment, and preparation of tyres and wheels from a wide range of vehicles. You'll play a key role in ensuring only quality products are selected for resale while supporting our commitment to sustainability and exceptional customer service. The salary for this position is £27,976 per annum.
Key Responsibilities:- Remove, fit, balance, and repair tyres on cars and light commercial vehicles.
- Inspect tyres and wheels for condition, damage, tread depth, and overall quality.
- Assess and select suitable tyres and wheels for resale in line with company standards.
- Prepare, label, store, and maintain approved stock.
- Identify unsuitable items for recycling or disposal.
- Carry out puncture repairs and safety checks.
- Maintain accurate stock and job records.
- Operate workshop equipment safely and follow all health and safety procedures.
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organised.
- Work closely with dismantling, inventory, and warehouse teams.
- Experience in tyre fitting, automotive workshops, vehicle dismantling, or similar environments.
- Confident using tyre fitting equipment, balancing machines, and workshop tools.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to make quality-based decisions.
- Good understanding of workshop safety procedures and manual handling.
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Positive, proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
- Forklift licence desirable but not essential.
- Working Monday to Friday, 08:45 – 17:15
