Why this role exists
COPA90's production model is growing — more projects, more markets, more media, more complexity. The Technical Operations Coordinator exists to make sure the technical layer that keeps productions moving is managed with precision, continuity and genuine expertise.
This role is the operational engine of our production system. It owns the day-to-day running of our media workflows, post-production processes, platform tools and archive infrastructure — the layer everything else depends on. Where volume grows, the answer isn't longer hours — it's better-run systems. That's the operating principle this role is built around.
What You’ll Own
- Post-production delivery
Online delivery, clean exports, subtitles, transcription and translation via Iconik and Premiere, broadcast slates for Clearcast, and VO recording supervision. Right file, right format, right destination, every time.
- Media management
Ingest, storage, retrieval and archive across all project media, from rushes through to deep archive. Hard drive management, folder organisation and archive access included.
- Platform administration
Day-to-day management of Iconik (Content Hub and metadata), Frame.io (accounts and access), MASV (setup and troubleshooting) and LucidLink (file management and member access). When something isn't working, you fix it or find the fix.
- Workflow support and technical prep
Proxies, transcodes, file preparation, testing project files for market use, pulling and exporting files from project packages, and troubleshooting before issues reach editors or producers.
- Edit assist
Minor offline tasks, small visual and audio tweaks, and hands-on technical support on jobs where it adds value. Not an editing role, but a willingness to get into the edit when it counts is part of what makes this role effective.
- Workflow input
Contributing technical knowledge to how workflows are built across content types: camera formats, delivery specs, footage transfers, edit handoffs. You're closest to the operational reality — that should shape how the system develops, not just maintain how it's always run.
- Process documentation
Capturing how things work in references and maintained logs, so knowledge lives in the system rather than in one person.

What You Bring
- Post-production knowledge — solid understanding of workflows from media ingest through to delivery and archive, and the ability to operate confidently within them
- Platform fluency — comfortable administering and troubleshooting production platforms at an organisational level
- Format and acquisition awareness — understanding of camera formats, codec choices, proxy workflows and delivery specs, and how those choices affect the edit and delivery process downstream
- Operational discipline — able to manage multiple active jobs, maintain accurate records and keep processes running without dropping detail
- Systems instinct — you think about how tasks should work, not just how to do them, and you build the documentation that lets others operate confidently
- Edit-adjacent capability — comfortable with transcodes, proxies, file prep and minor offline tasks that keep productions moving
- Clear communication — you keep producers, editors and partners accurately informed without needing to be chased
