COPA Cymru is looking for a videographer / editor to join our Cardiff-based team. We’re a BAFTA/ RTS award-winning production company based in Cardiff, working across commercial video, branded content, social media campaigns, broadcast-adjacent work and creative projects for a wide range of clients. We’re looking for someone early in their career who is already making strong work and wants to keep developing as part of a busy, hands-on production team.
This role would suit someone with strong creative instincts, a good eye, solid technical ability and the confidence to shoot and edit content to a professional standard. A degree is not essential, but a strong portfolio is. We care more about the quality of your work, your attitude, and your willingness to learn than whether you have followed a traditional route into the industry.
About the role
You’ll be joining a small, multi-skilled team and supporting projects from planning through to delivery. The work will be varied, fast-moving and practical, with opportunities to contribute creatively as well as technically.
The role will include:
- Shooting video content on location and in studio environments
- Editing projects for commercial, branded and social media use
- Supporting producers, directors and other team members on shoots
- Helping develop visual ideas, treatments and creative approaches
- Preparing content for different platforms, formats and audiences
- Travelling to shoots across Wales and beyond when required
- Supporting the wider team with post-production, media management and project delivery
Essential requirements:
Please only apply if you:
- Have a strong portfolio of video work
- Are confident shooting with professional camera equipment
- Have experience using Adobe Premiere Pro/ After Effects
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Are comfortable producing social-first content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn
- Are based in South Wales
- Are proactive, reliable and comfortable working as part of a team
Preferred but not essential:
We would also be keen to hear about any experience with:
- Drone operation or a drone licence
- Welsh language ability
- Photoshop, InDesign or wider Adobe Creative Cloud tools
- Motion graphics, animation, sound design, colour grading or photography
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who is genuinely excited by filmmaking, content creation and visual storytelling. You might be a recent graduate, a freelancer looking for more stability, or someone who has built up a strong portfolio through self-initiated projects, client work or independent filmmaking. Formal company experience is welcome, but it is not a requirement. More than anything, we want to see evidence of aesthetic taste, initiative, problem solving and a desire to keep improving.
How to apply
Please send your application with the subject line: Videographer / Editor Application. Please include:
- Your CV
